Mind Cleanse: The Mid-Year Reflection of 2018

Mind Cleanse: The Mid-Year Reflection of 2018

After the Raya holidays and the mid-year school holidays, we are saying hello to the second half of the year 2018.

The New Years Eve was like two seconds ago. All the year-end gatherings, food and champagne, new year’s goals and resolutions. Then you looked at the calendar again, and unbelievably, it’s the last week of June!

How is the progression of your goals for 2018? Let hit a pause, sit down, take a deep breath, and rewind everything that has happened since January 1st. Ask yourself the following questions for a mid-year reflection.

#1 What were my goals at the beginning of this year?

#2 Are my goals still the same? Have I changed my mind?

#3 Am I putting the right amount of efforts or commitment to achieve my goals?

#4 Am I happy doing what I’ve been doing lately?

#5 What is the thing that I really want to create, achieve or experience within this year?

#6 Is there someone that I should say “thank you” but I haven’t?

#7 Is there anyone in particular that I should stay away from? (perhaps a bad influence or someone who brings a lot of negative impacts)

#8 What was the best decisions that I’ve made so far this year?

#9 What is the thing that makes me feel proud of myself?

#10 What are the things that I should focus on for the next half of the year?

You might want to write down all the answers that float in your mind in your journal, on your blog, or share them over a dinner conversation. You can do it any way you want. The point of doing a mid-year reflection is to acknowledge what you’ve accomplished, notice the blind spots and help yourself to recalibrate in the second half of the year!

This is a short article, but I hope you take a longer time to get yourself together. This could make you see things clearer. And, with clarity, everything becomes more achievable!

Let’s move forward with TopNotch to a greater next half of 2018!
